Aaron Judge Goes Sneaker Shopping with Complex at Stadium Goods

See what the baseball superstar picked up at Stadium Goods…for his size 17 feet!

The biggest names in sports have walked through the doors of Stadium Goods on Complex’s Sneaker Shopping. But very few can say they’ve done so while leading their respective league in almost every meaningful statistic possible like the show’s latest guest, Aaron Judge.

The slugging New York Yankees outfielder is putting up eye-popping numbers across the board, while helping the team tear through Major League Baseball at the same time. In between games, Aaron likes to keep tabs on what’s trending in sneakers, but has a reverence for the kicks he wore growing up playing baseball, basketball, and football, as he recently told Complex’s Joe La Puma at 47 Howard Street in New York City.

“It was a team thing [when he played high school basketball], we’d all get a matching team shoe. One year it was the Nike Hyperdunk, one year it was the Nike Air Huarache 2k.” Finding shoes, it turns out, hasn’t always been easy for the baseball star as he has a size 17 foot! “It was tough, I’ve been a size 17 since high school.”

One way Aaron has been able to overcome the lack of availability is by wearing custom designed cleats. In the past, he’s worn cleats that’ve paid tribute to Jackie Robinson, and his mother. When he’s not wearing custom cleats, you can catch Aaron in a different pair of shoes from a different sneaker brand on a nightly basis. He’s currently a sneaker free agent, which gives him the ability to pick and choose exactly what he wants to wear, whenever he wants to wear it. That kind of freedom no doubt lets Aaron have fun on the field, which in turn relaxes him at the plate. Which amounts to more W’s in the win column for the Yankees. Because like another famous multisport athlete once said, “When you look good, you play good.”
