Barry Keoghan Reveals His Sneaker Superstition On Sneaker Shopping
By
Justin Tejada |The Nike Air Force 1 is on the sneaker Mount Rushmore for a lot of reasons. The fact that they’re good running shoes isn’t one of them. But don’t tell that to Barry Keoghan. When he came through Stadium Goods to film an episode of Sneaker Shopping, the actor, who gained renown in Saltburn and stars in Bird, told host Joe La Puma that he regularly runs 6-7 kilometers (3-4 miles) in AF1s as part of the boxing training that he regularly does.
That’s just one part of why the Air Force 1 is Keoghan’s favorite sneaker of all time. He can wear a beat up pair while out on a run and then switch to a fresh pair for a red carpet premiere. Just don’t expect to ever see a pair on a table. Keoghan picked up a superstition from his grandmother that putting shoes on the table is bad luck. This even applies to a brand new pair in the box. So when Keoghan was hit the shelves at 47 Howard St, he was careful to put the kids’ Jumpman Jack and “Powerpuff Girls” Dunks that he bought for his child and the multiple pairs of Air Jordan 1 Lows that he bought to donate through a charity on the floor instead of the counter.
