Fivio Foreign Appears On Sneaker Shopping with Complex at Stadium Goods

Guests from all over the world have joined Joe La Puma on Sneaker Shopping with Complex at Stadium Goods. But there’s nothing like seeing someone with New York City roots link with La Puma, a native New Yorker himself, to discuss sneakers in their own backyard. Such was the case when multi-platinum hip-hop artist and Brooklyn native Fivio Foreign recently appeared on the show.

Foreign’s time on Sneaker Shopping with Complex took on a New York-centric theme. Two iconic shoes associated with the city’s fashion, the Nike Air Force 1 and the Timberland 6” Construction Boot, were among the shoes Foreign discussed as essentials to his sneaker rotation. But it’s actually adidas Yeezys that are the “Big Drip” rapper’s go-to these days.

And it makes perfect sense as to why that is.

Fivio Foreign had a standout verse on Kanye West’s “Donda” studio album on the song, “Off the Grid.”

As Foreign explained to La Puma, “I spit 8 bars for Kanye, he heard it, and was like “keep going.” “I spit 8 more bars, same thing. Then 8 more. I saw what he wanted me to do and was like, “alright, bet.”
