It’s not every day you get the honor of working with one of the pioneering and most revered brands in its field. But that’s exactly what we’re doing at Stadium Goods this fall. The brand we’re talking about is BAPE, and its pioneering work is, of course, in the realm of streetwear. Stadium Goods is excited to present our very first sneaker collaboration, a two-shoe capsule with BAPE for the BAPE STA and SK8 STA silhouettes this October.

Founded in Japan in 1993 by the visionary fashion designer, DJ, and record producer Nigo, BAPE, or A Bathing Ape, today stands as one of most successful and influential streetwear labels ever, right up there with other monumental names in the business like Supreme, Off-White, and Stussy, to name a few.

We couldn’t be more excited to work on BAPE’s most legendary sneaker model ever, the BAPE STA, which has been an icon ever since it first debuted in 2002. Known for vibrant, colorful looks in premium leather and/or patent leather, the BAPE STA was impossible to ignore in the early 2000s, especially with its endorsement from some of the biggest names in hip-hop and street culture, including Pharrell, Kanye West, and KAWS, who have all had their own collaborations on the sneaker. It goes without saying that the whole team here at Stadium Goods is honored to now be in the same company as those giants of the culture.

The BAPE STA “Lexington Grey” takes inspiration from classic athletic footwear, worn by everybody from Upper East Side grandpas to Lower East Side teenagers. The shoe features a premium suede and mesh construction with reflective accents, just like your favorite old school running shoes.

Along with the privilege of working on the BAPE STA, Stadium Goods is thrilled to be able to present the very first collaborative version of BAPE’s newest sneaker model, the SK8 STA. Our SK8 STA also takes inspiration from vintage athletic footwear, built in premium suede, leather, and mesh in cool shades of grey and blue.

Both sneakers are available only at Stadium Goods in very limited quantities, never to be sold at retail anywhere else. The Stadium Goods x BAPE BAPE STA “Lexington Grey” releases October 26, 2021, followed by the SK8 STA “Claremont Blue” on October 29.
