A major factor in Jordan Brand's allure lies in the stories their products tell. A perfect example being the Air Jordan 1 KO High OG "Rivalry Pack" from 2014.
This release plays on the rivalry between University of North Carolina and Georgetown University, both of whom are currently sponsored by Jordan Brand. In 1982, Michael Jordan, then a rising freshman at UNC, secured the NCAA Championship for his Tarheels after hitting the game-winning shot against the Patrick Ewing-led Hoyas.
The pack features a pair of AJKOs in colorways representing both college programs. Both sneakers feature simple designs, with the UNC colorway being a simple combination of University Blue and White, and the Georgetown version featuring a combination of grey and navy.
