On October 18, 2016, without any prior notice, Jordan Brand celebrated the 32nd anniversary of the NBA banning the Air Jordan 1 with the grand unveiling of a pop-up shop at 108 Wooster Street in New York City.
The space housed a limited run of product: the Air Jordan 1 Retro "Bred", then-unreleased Air Jordan 1 Retro "Black Toe", matching apparel, and a special edition of the "Bred" AJ 1 with a satin upper.
With only 501 pairs in existence (each numbered), the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Satin" is a luxe twist on the classic silhouette. Along with the all-satin construction, gold aglets and a white quilted leather insole account for the premium accents.
