Packer Shoes x Reebok Question Mid "Curtain Call"

2016 marked 20 years since the genesis of Allen Iverson's war path in the NBA, during which he made crowds fawn over his phenomenal scoring ability and ankle-decimating crossover. Of course, A.I. took the court in style beginning with his first signature shoe, the Reebok Question Mid, which also reached the two decade landmark last year.

Reebok celebrated the festive occasion by rereleasing the iconic model in OG colorways and collaborating with a handful of trusted brands to deliver new versions. The result was dynamic to say the least, as it included releases like the Packer Shoes x Reebok Question Mid "Curtain Call".

Packer Shoes found inspiration in Iverson's admittance into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the history of the Question Mid overall when designing this sneaker. Luxury construction is the result, as the upper here is a premium Horween leather upper with pebbled basketball leather paneling in black. The toe and heel appear in red and blue suede, respectively – a shoutout to the OG "Red Toe" and "Blue Toe" colorways.

Other details include black 3M panels on each midfoot feature alternating "Q" and Reebok Vector logo embroidery, full-grain leather lace loops, Packer branding on the tongue, and a proper ode to Iverson in an "A" on one heel and "I" on the other.

Vetements x Reebok InstaPump Fury

The world received its first glimpse at the Vetements x Reebok Insta Pump Fury in July 2016, but little info was given on what was to become of the shoe. Fortunately, recent news revealed Vetements' plans to release the kicks in their SS17 collection.

Featuring an all-white base, the upper is marked up like a subway in Harlem as it features a street-inspired design full of graffiti style script throughout. Stylistically, the writings range from middle school diary confessions to "let me grab a pen, so I can take down your number right quick."

Vetements x Reebok Pump Supreme

In 2016, high-fashion streetwear brand Vetements made magic with Reebok; and by magic, we mean the creation of an entirely new silhouette, the Pump Supreme.

The model strips down the traditional Pump Fury design to its bare essence, resulting in a minimalistic look. Here, we highlight the murdered-out all black version featuring a seamless slip-on upper. Tongue-in-cheek Left and Right labels appear on each shoe just above some proper Vetements branding. Perforations provide the Pump sneaker with ventilation. Tonal stitching and a treaded rubber sole finish things off.

BAIT x Los Angeles Kings x Reebok Ventilator Supreme

West Coast-based store BAIT has been rather consistent with the sneaker collabs in recent years. Their latest is a reworked version of the classic Reebok Ventilator, created with the NHL's Los Angeles Kings.

The release is a nod to the history of Los Angeles (and the NHL All-Star Weekend), as it features a LA Kings-centric black and Matte Silver colorway throughout the upper. Predominately suede in its construction, the shoe also incorporates Kevlar on the paneling. Hints of 3M reflective material appear on the tongue (where a "Built with Kevlar" label can be found) and Kings branding on the midfoot area. Additional team logos can be seen on the heels. A plush white midsole and black outsole complete the old school look.

Limited EDT x SBTG x Reebok Insta Pump Fury

This Reebok Insta Pump Fury is what dream collabs are made of. A product of the minds behind the famed sporting goods brand, Singaporean artist and founder of SBTG, Mark Ong and Mandeep Chopra, founder of Limited EDT, the sneaker pushes the limits of how to incorporate a range materials and textures on one silhouette.

The design draws inspiration from the lion, the national animal of Singapore, in its look and aesthetic (Singapore also translates to the "Lion City").

At first glance, the most eye-catching aspect of the shoe is the Pellegrini pony hair that occupies much of the upper, giving off the appearance of fur. The overlays are accentuated by SBTG's signature 'Parsillia' camo print. Black accents only make the Insta Pump Fury's look more interesting, while a white midsole and gum outsole round out the shoe.
