The Vans Sk8-Hi received this wild remixed edition in 2018. The Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Cap LX makes it appear as though the classic mid-top skateboarding shoe has been chopped apart and rearranged, with an added zipper on the upper and the lace eyestay and heel paneling extended down onto the midsole. The most unique detail of the Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Cap LX is the midsole’s “license plate,” usually found on the heel, is placed on the lateral side of the vulcanized sole. The wild rendition of the Sk8-Hi is available here in its black colorway with white accents, complete with the waffle outsole in striped shades of gum rubber.
