History proves that counting Kanye West out in any regard is futile, as proven by his groundbreaking adidas Yeezy line and its crowned jewel: the Yeezy Boost 350. After a very public spat with Nike, fans and detractors alike waited patiently to see how West would bounce back after he ended the working relationship with the Swoosh brand.
Fortunately one door closed for another to open. On November 25, 2013, he responded to naysayers by announcing an upcoming shoe line with adidas during an epic interview with radio personality Angie Martinez– perhaps his biggest power move to date.
Over a year later, the world’s (read: Yeezy fan's) prayers were answered in 2015, as West’s promise materialized into two highly anticipated sneakers, a boot and a self-designed apparel line–the former being the aforementioned Yeezy Boost 350 and Yeezy Boost 750. The two models were given dynamically different designs: the Yeezy Boost 350 sports a simple construction, with a low-top slip-on woven Primeknit upper and a TPU midsole that covers the Boost cushioning; the Yeezy Boost 750 shares the same midsole/outsole construction, with a high-top upper often coated in premium suede, a strap, a perforated vamp, and a zipper on the side panel for easy accessibility.
In the time since adidas Yeezy Season 1 hit the marketplace, its product offering has expanded to include popular colorways in children’s sizes. Additionally, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2, a revamped rendition of the modern day classic, shows adidas’ commitment to taking the silhouette into the future and beyond.
