Now Trending: "Lucky Green" Air Jordans

A look at all of the releases sporting the Jordan Brand’s favorite shade of green in 2023.

Matt DeSciora

Whether you’ve been collecting sneakers for years or are new to the hobby, everyone can agree that keeping up with trends is becoming more difficult with each passing season. It seems like one minute everyone’s on hiking shoes, and then everyone can’t get enough of “dad shoes,” and then you turn around and slides are the next wave.

While these are exciting times for our culture, they're confusing times, as well. That’s why we like to release these “trend reports” as a way to keep people current on what’s bubbling in real time.

This month, we’re focusing on a look that has been popping up classic Air Jordans on what seems like a daily basis of late: the “Lucky Green” colorway.

Seemingly inspired by the Boston Celtics but not officially associated with the basketball team in any way, shape or form, the “Lucky Green” colorway has been bringing a little “luck of the Irish” to iconic Jordans like the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2, and Air Jordan 3 this spring. That makes the design a bonafide trend in our eyes.

Here’s a rundown of the best of the “Lucky Green” colorway theme. Shop one, two, or all of these sneakers at Stadium Goods.

Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lucky Green”

The “Lucky Green” isn’t just a colorway that’s nice to look at, it’s a colorway with a legacy behind it. The best example of this is the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lucky Green,” which is based on the Celtics-inspired Jordan 1 from 2009’s “Defining Moments Pack.” The two aren’t identical, but if you compare both side-by-side, you’ll see only a handful of differences between the two Jordan 1s with green accenting.

Air Jordan 1 Low “Lucky Green”

Some Air Jordans in “Lucky Green” colorways have white accents, others have black, white really pop against the green hue in a cool way, as best seen on the Air Jordan 1 Low “Lucky Green.”

Women’s Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low SE “Lucky Green”

The Women’s Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low SE is one of Jordan Brand’s most intriguing new models this spring, so it makes sense that the brand gave it a “Lucky Green” makeover. If you’re looking for a sneaker that’s masterfully toes the line between vintage and contemporary looking, the Jordan 1 Elevate Low SE is where it’s at. And it even comes with removable charms on the right shoe.

Women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lucky Green”

Remember when we said the “Lucky Green” colorway isn’t all flash and no substance? Well, here’s another example of what we were talking about. The Women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lucky Green” acknowledges Michael Jordan’s historic and record-setting 63 point game in the ‘86 NBA Playoffs against the Celtics with its white-and-green design inspired by the C’s uniforms.

Air Jordan 1 Mid “Lucky Green”

Any Air Jordan 1 Mid in a two-tone color block is good money. Why would the “Lucky Green” be any different? Get it? Good money? Green? Anyone?

Women’s Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Green”

So far we’ve featured a bunch of Air Jordan 1s in the “Lucky Green” colorway, so here’s something different for you: the Women’s Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Green.” It’s sort of like the Jordan 3’s “White Cement” colorway, but with green accents instead of red or black.

Air Jordan 2 “Lucky Green”

The Air Jordan 2 had a comeback for the ages in 2022, and continues to be one of the most popular sneakers in 2023. It’s hardly surprising that it’s offered in a “Lucky Green” colorway.

Air Jordan 13 “Lucky Green”

Before we sign off, here’s one last example of the “Lucky Green” colorway theme having that oh-so-important historic element tied to it: the Air Jordan 13 “Lucky Green.” This sweet design is loosely inspired by former Celtic legend Ray Allen’s Player Exclusive Jordan 13s in Celtics colors.
