The Nike Air Foamposite One "Doernbecher 2019" is a re-issue of the coveted colorway from the 2013 Doernbecher Freestyle collection. The Doernbecher Freestyle collection is the result of a longstanding partnership between the Portland, Oregon children’s hospital and Nike. Patients at the Doernbecher hospital are given the opportunity to design unique colorways of their favorite sneakers. Few Doernbecher Nikes have been more memorable than this eye-catching Foamposite One by Elijah Diggins. The young patient battled Leukemia, which is now in remission, and created a classic look for the basketball shoe, featuring a bright red and black color palette with an abstract graphic across the upper and a half black, half red outsole. The colorway returned in 2019 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Doernbecher Freestyle collection.
