The Nike LeBron 16 “1 Thru 5” puts a new spin on the popular “What the” colorway concept. Traditionally Nike went through the archives and combined previous editions to create a new "What the" colorway. But for the LeBron 16 “1 Thru 5” Nike was inspired by the present more than the past. The bold basketball shoe takes elements from the first five colorways of LeBron James’s 16th signature shoe. The eye-catching details on this LeBron 16 include Battleknit 2.0 uppers with a number of different colors incorporated into the material and a faux fur leopard print on the tongue of the right shoe. There are different speckled patterns on the midsoles of each shoe. The outsoles are also mismatched, with a colorful marbled rubber on the left shoe and an unconventional color blocking on the right. The Nike LeBron 16 “1 Thru 5” released in very limited quantities in September 2018.
